BIO
Scott has always had a fascination with history and the old west. Having studied art in the Midwest, his family would take yearly vacations to his Mother’s home state of Wyoming, fishing and hiking and learning about the west that used to be. After graduating from the Kansas City Art Institute, he started working in the commercial art field outside of Chicago, where he and his wife raised their two boys.
He would also dabble with his paints and finish an occasional painting. Since moving to Bozeman in 2009, and finding he has more time on his hands, he has become inspired once again by the western history around him, portraying items he finds in museums and road trips and trying to capture the disappearing west in his work. He prefers working in oils, watercolors and the occasional egg tempera.
